Circular Business Models in Manufacturing SMEs: Empirical Evidence from South Asia
A multi-year investigation into institutional conditions, capital allocation, and reverse logistics in 142 manufacturing SMEs.
Circular Business Models in Manufacturing SMEs: Empirical Evidence from South Asia
While circular economic paradigms have been broadly examined in multinational conglomerates, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) face distinct resource constraints, structural rigidities, and asymmetric capital barriers. This project explores the organizational capabilities, reverse supply chain partnerships, and policy conditions required for manufacturing SMEs to transition towards closed-loop models. Based on 142 survey participants and 18 facility audits across manufacturing clusters in Bangladesh and South Asia.
